Snowball Capital Investment Advisors LLP advises clients on investing in public equities in Indian markets.

Driven by our investment philosophy, advice is given on individual securities which helps the client to build a portfolio of good businesses. Given our aversion to speculation we refrain from advising which could lead to a higher churning in the clients' portfolios.
We neither follow a benchmark nor are concerned with out-performance / under-performance. We believe that clients' best interest is served when we are able to compound and create wealth over a longer period of time.
Of course, we will consider our job well done only when the client makes more returns through our advice over a longer time frame (3-5 years) than what any benchmark would have given through passive investing.

The investment advice being offered is based on an 'absolute-returns' basis as in, it may or may not track the performance of the index. There would also be extended periods of time when the returns under-perform the index. We share the results of our advice to the clients on a six monthly basis. Apart from the net returns (post fees, if any) made on the stocks, a comparison with indices (small-cap, mid-cap & Sensex) is also made to let the client know the opportunity cost of not investing passively.
From our end, we ensure 100% transparency & provide all the information necessary to help the client make an informed decision about continuing with us or not.
Our services would be ideally suitable for investors with a long term horizon of at-least 3-5 years. Given that markets can be quite volatile (stock markets corrected by >50% in CY08), investor should be able to withstand losses & should not be dependent on stock market income.
